Etechnology Policies, and Conditions of Use
Online Shopping
Like many other online resellers we may require the name of the telephone account holder or the verification of your address to verify the correct mailing address when purchasing products using our secure online credit card
payment facility. Unfortunately, there are people who place fraudulent orders via the internet. In the case of stolen credit card numbers it can take several months for the fraud to come to light - by which time the fraudster and the goods are long gone. Consequently, we take
precautions to ensure we do not supply such people in the first place. In certain circumstances this will involve asking you to provide some evidence that you live where you say you do. If you do not wish to divulge any personal information then you still have the option of paying by cheque
or by direct credit. This helps protect us and you from credit card fraud occurring through the Etechnology web site. We can accept payment by Visa/MasterCard only through our secure online shopping facility, over the phone, or by fax. Etechnology will never ask for your
credit card details to be submitted by unencrypted methods like email, instant messaging or chat. Any details received by phone or fax will be destroyed upon completion of transaction, if the transaction fails for any reason we will contact you. We will ask you for the card-validation
code or value (three-digit or four-digit number printed on the front or back of the payment card) used to verify card-not-present transactions. Etechnology NEVER stores your credit card information or the card verification code or value or PIN verification value data
elements. As an extra precaution your PAN is masked (the first six and last four digits are all that gets displayed) when displayed in the Etechnology order system giving you added trust when using our secure online credit card payment facility.
